Things you need to know about Benalmadena

Railways

Carvajal Station is around twelve minutes walk down a steep hill and takes you east to Fuengirola and West to Benalmadena, Malaga the airport and beyond. Train travel is cheap and efficient.

Buses

The coastal bus service runs along the seafront road. There is also an excellent circular service running between the village (Benalmadena Pueblo) and the port.

Mijas

(about 10 mins drive from the apartment)

Mijas is a traditional Andalucian village with whitewashed streets, nestling in a mountain landscape.

In Mijas the following events take place throughout the month.

Every Tuesday (except July and August). Weekly Flamenco shows organised by the town hall at midday in the main square in Mijas village. The entertainers are the municipal dance group and spectators are offered a free glass of Malaga wine, courtesy of the Mijas Tourist Office.
